Our challenge

When a world leading bank began one of the largest restructuring programmes ever undertaken in the UK financial markets, they needed a safe pair of hands to deal with the outsourcing of their existing funds management investment division to a series of multi-managers. So who better to turn to than BCS Consulting?

Our solution

Our consultants got straight to work engaging with the transformation programme across multiple streams of activity. Our tailor-made solution involved:

• Planning and executing the migration of £23bn worth of funds under management to a new asset servicing provider.
• Overhauling the existing fragmented fund structure and replacing it with an optimal fund structure to support the migration to the multi-managers.
• Carrying out a strategic operations review regarding outsourcing vs in-house for all remaining back office functions.
• Delivering the total transformation of the Asset Management Function. (In fact, £1.1m of savings has been made to date and a further £1.1m of savings is still to be realised.)
• Deploying an improved Operational Control Framework, which involved using BCS's own Operational Control Architecture.
