"I can honestly say that when I first met with BCS Consulting, I wasn't in the market for a new career. In fact, I was extremely happy working for a Big Four consultancy. However, I was so impressed with the calibre and likeability of the BCS people I met at my interviews, and the type of business BCS Consulting was involved in, my views quickly changed.

I've been with the company now for 1 ½ years and was promoted to Senior Consultant in my first year. I'm currently working on a large liquidity management project for one of the world's largest banks. It's a bit of a beast in terms of its complexity, size and aggressive timelines, but it's a really interesting project to work on and I'm learning a lot from it.

The fact that BCS specialise in consulting within the wholesale banking market is a real plus for me. It's an area I always wanted to specialise in, but the sheer size of my old firm meant that I had to focus on methodologies, rather than gaining industry expertise in the market. Here I get to work alongside industry experts, which has resulted in me picking up significantly more industry knowledge in a single year than the numerous years I had worked in consulting previously. I am regularly receiving mentoring and guidance, which has also helped me develop a lot faster than at any other time in my career. The smaller size of BCS has given me opportunities to gain unbelievable senior client exposure - something I know would have taken me years at my old consultancy.

Being a relatively young company, BCS still has a huge amount of maturing to do which gives me the opportunity to be a part of shaping its future. Here there are few rigidly defined methodologies and collateral, so I'm always encouraged to help improve and develop BCS as a firm. It's not often you actually feel like you are making a significant difference to improving your company, but I can genuinely say I feel like I've played an important part in developing BCS. To me, that's extremely rewarding."
